My local Tea Party
My local small town Tea Party was great even though the weather was very cold, windy, and rainy!
It was an honor to take part in a piece of history of this great country of ours. It is time that We the People stood up and let our voices be heard. We want life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We do not want big oppressive government dictating every aspect of our lives.
It's not a left or right issue, it's not a partisan issue, it's not an Obama or Bush issue, it's an American issue. During these tough times we need solidarity not division and polarization.
American's need to unite together under basic principles and values (taken from 912project.com). Even if you don't agree with all of them, I would wager you agree with enough to have common ground with almost every American.
1. America Is Good.
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
God The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained. from George Washingtons first Inaugural address.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
Honesty I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man. George Washington
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
Marriage/Family It is in the love of ones family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family. Thomas Jefferson
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
Justice I deem one of the essential principles of our government
equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political. Thomas Jefferson
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit of Happiness Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence. Thomas Jefferson
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
Charity It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer. George Washington
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
On your right to disagree In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking. George Washington
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
Who works for whom? I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation. Thomas Jefferson
And 12 values:
- Hard Work
- Personal Responsibility
I pray for the Lord to strengthen our country and unite the people back under the banner of One Nation Under God.
Obama's propagandist, David Axelrod
I know I've been racking my brain for a long time trying to figure out how so many intelligent people have been sucked in by the Pied Piper (BHO). How those people are nearly impossible to get to change their mind even with all the damning facts that have been proved about him.
How can any intelligent person who is actually loves America (or even likes America) not see his true nature and true intentions? If you listen to what he's really saying, by ignoring all of the fluffy HOPE and CHANGE, look at his past voting record and public statements, look what he's done in his career (community organizer, etc), examine what associations he's had/has, it's painfully obvious he's a fraud, a liar, and a socialist (and I'm not convinced a flat out Communist). But, why are so many people falling prey to his "spell"?
This guy really answers that question with such frightening clarity I almost wish I hadn't read it. It's really long, but it is definitely worth the read:
I hope you find this as eye opening as I have.
Michelle Obama, the perfect Socialist spouse for Barack
I don't know if the receipt is real, but the quote is definitely real. I believe the whole conversation/interview was:
Most Americans, she said, don't want much.
"They don't want the whole pie," she told the women. "There are some who do, but most Americans feel blessed just being able to thrive a little bit. But that is becoming even more out of reach."
After law school, she and Barack were beset by loans they'd still be paying had her husband not written two best-sellers, "The Audacity of Hope" and "Dreams From My Father."
Those debts early in their marriage, she said, equips her husband to better understand the problems many Americans face.
Should she become first lady, she said she'd focus on family issues.
"If we don't wake up as a nation with a new kind of leadership...for how we want this country to work, then we won't get universal health care," she said.
"The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more."
I don't know about all of you but how the heck does she know what most American's want? She never once asked me or anyone I know.
So, If she wants a piece of my pie she better be willing to take a fork in the back of the hand. Feel free to give her your pie if you'd like, but I worked hard for pie for my family and I. I suggest those without pie start working for theirs too.
However, If the greedy politicians cut some taxes I'd have more money that'd I'd freely buy those in need some pie with. American's are generous people, but with all the big government plans BHO has, nobody is going to see anything but more taxes.
If you don't think this is Socialism, I'd suggest you look the word up.
Socialism and the U.S.A.
I had a good man (my father) take the time to point out something we've all been talking about for the last year or more, Socialism. We all know what it is, but do we really know what the true definition is? Just as a refresher I followed his link to get a true dictionary definition.
Actually seeing it defined really frightens me. It really makes me realize how naive of a country we are. How we are running headlong into socialism. Running right into Barack Hussein Obama's open arms (just to name the latest threat). Here it is ladies and gentlemen, here is what is at stake this next election:
so⋅cial⋅ism Spelled Pronunciation [soh-shuh-liz-uhm] noun
- a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
- procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.
- (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.
Sounds frightening right? Yeah it does to me too. But, then if you take and apply the Tytler Cycle (which was found on another blog) things come into focus like never before. Take a look at the following cycle and tell me where you think we are right now in the U.S.A. right now:
Answer honestly, where do you think we are? Somewhere in the Apathy or Dependence area? Yeah, me and every single other person I've asked today. Now take Obama, his "big government" plans (Universal Health Care anyone?) or other socialist programs (the Global Poverty Act comes to mind), add in a naive narcissistic society that has got their hands outstretched waiting for their handout and then toss in the most important election in history, now apply the Tytler Cycle to it. The result of that equation is a pretty horrifying reality that just snaps into focus. At least it did for me, and I was already horrified at how bad I really thought it was. It's way more serious that I had thought even earlier today.
I am in angst over our country, I pray for our country and it's very survival. All that we hold dear is teetering on a razors edge at this very moment. I ask that everyone who actually believes in God and Country to say a quick prayer for our country. Say it every time you feel apprehension or fear about the future of our country or the coming election:
God, please do not withdraw your hand from the U.S.A.. The enemy wants you out of our country, but I know we need your grace. Deliver us from the clutches of this darkness. Amen.
Patriots, we must get out and vote. We must get our family to vote. We must attempt to combat the lies of the media about Barack Hussein Obama and expose him for the predator he is. Our children and their future is at stake.
God bless you and may God forgive me of my complacency.
Letter to a friend
Here is a letter from a man with direct experience with Obama in Illinois and his stance on the 2nd Amendment. There is also a fact sheet that was put together by the NRA, but cites his voting record and various public statements and things that he's said. Needless to say, he's as anti-gun as you can get.
You'll hardly ever hear anything but glowing reviews of Obama on TV or in the news. You'll hear he's "Pro 2nd Amendment" and all sorts of other distortions and flat out lies. Why? Because the media is 99% liberal and they'll never paint him in a bad light. They are his personal cheerleaders. But, why? I mean he's only been in the Senate for a couple of years and he's got not no experience. What's the real reason?
It wouldn't be as bad if Congress wasn't controlled by liberals as well, but it is. There will be little to no opposition to anything he wants to pass.
Here are some articles that do a good job of outlining a lot of his "communist" and "socialist" connections, etc. Especially his "mentor", Frank Marshall Davis. Take it for what it's worth, take it or leave it. But, even if just 1% of it's true, that should be enough to kill an election:
Not to mention that we've got terrorists who want to kill us endorsing Obama. What's up with that? I mean granted this is a right-wing web site, but seeing as how the entire media is pretty much left-wing, you gotta go hunt up an opposing point of view:
Here are a few other things we know about Obama that you don't see or hear on the mainstream media:
1. His wife hasn't been proud to be an American during her adult life: 'Speaking in Milwaukee, Wis., on Monday, she said, "People in this country are ready for change and hungry for a different kind of politics and
for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback." '. What the crap?
2. His "pastor" of 20 years ("Reverend" Jeremiah Wright) hates America and teach a form of Marxism, Black Liberation Theology from the pulpit. I mean really, 20 years and he couldn't figure this out?
3. He has past associations with William Ayres, an unrepentant terrorist bomber (and communist). Obama even said during the debates when confronted about it "people can change". This guy has definitely not changed, he just became a professor:
I mean the list keeps going and going and going. He's admitted to William Ayres, and I'm pretty sure to Frank Marshall Davis. So, that right there would disqualify him a security clearance, but we are going to give him the highest security clearance in the country? Then his wife also has documented socialst connections and things like that, but I won't even go there.
The man stands opposite from *everything* that I believe and stand for. Do I like McCain? Absolutely not. The only reason I'm voting for McCain is Palin. McCain should be labeled a bad Democrat, not a Replublican. But, at least he stands for the two things I hold dear, Pro Life and Pro Second Amendment. I can't vote for anyone who is against either of those things.
I won't even get into picking apart his plans on health care, education, and tax cuts. Let's just say he says one thing, but when you strip away all of the flowers and rhetoric, it's plain old socialism. Just take a look at his "Global Poverty Act" (quick synopsis, your tax dollars given to the "poor countries", ie - redistribution of wealth, or say it with me ... socialism). The legislation would commit the U.S. to spending 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid, which amounts to a phenomenal 13-year total of $845 billion over and above what the U.S. already spends on the U.N. (which is like 25%):
I gotta be honest, I'm so angry with the Republicans and the Democrats it's not even funny. People like you and I are totally ignored, the "Forgotten Man". Neither side is interested in campaigning for our votes. They are too busy going after the special interest votes. They know we are both going to vote down our party line because we don't want the other guy to win. Both sides do it. I'm sick and tired of not having anyone to vote for, I've gotta vote against someone. It disgusts me. If Palin hadn't been chosen as his running mate, Bob Barr was going to get my vote.
I wish to God Obama was the answer to our countries problem, but he's only for bigger government. Last time I checked, the Government hasn't done one thing good for us since Reagan. If Obama were the answer, I'd vote for him a heartbeat.
I hope you find some of this eye opening and disturbing.
