My 10FP hasn't come in yet and I'm trying to figure out what will work best for it. With this rifle which is best, one or two piece mounts? I'm still an old handgun shooter trying to figure this stuff out
I prefer one piece mounts, weaver or picatinny rail style.
Ken Farrel makes a base for your rifle in various degrees of cant. I'm sure Badger and others do as well.
A lot of folks here recommend the 20 moa base, and it's hard to disagree with that much experience.
But don't skimp on rings, whatever base you decide on.

The range at my club is 200 meters, and some nearby ranges have 300 meter ranges. I would imagine a 0 MOA base would be all I need. I'll check out the Ken Farrel's thanks.

I have a bunch of TPS rings, and would not hesitate to suggest them. I believe they make bases for the Savage as well. You could get a set of rings and bases for less than some others sell just the base for.
