I am looking at a US Optics SN4S scope. Money is tight so I need a little persuading on this one.

Can anyone who has owned a SN4 please share your likes and dislikes about this scope.

Thank you, Phessor cool.gif

Ive never talked to anyone who has owned this scope or used one myself but I thought I would throw out an opinion since you said money was tight. I would recommend that you take a look at the IOR 1.1-4x. It's a good scope for what I assume your looking for which is short range and CQB type work. It has a lit reticle, great glass and can be had for about $500 less. The Leupold mark 4 cqt is also a good scope in the same price range as the IOR. I personally like the reticle in the IOR better. However, both these scopes perform well and should meet most any challenge you can throw at them. I would think there should be a need or a distinct advantage of the sn4 over the other scopes to spend the extra $500 if money is tight. Someone with more experience with that particular scope will have to weigh in with that opinion. Just wanted to throw out some other options.

Let me rephrase that, I have exactly what it will cost to purchase a US Optics SN4 scope.
But before I put out that much money I want to know any of the likes and dislikes that people who have owned these scopes have to say.
Thank you, Phessor cool.gif

I owned an SN4 with a doubler for a couple of years.
They are big and heavy, made for hard abuse. If that is what your looking for, go for it.
Here it is sitting on my FAL

I sold it because I needed some money, the next thing that will sit on this rifle will be a SN3 1x10

The SN-4 was my favorite scope at SHOT 2007 in the USO booth. Very clear optics, and rugged. Have no field data on it.

Hey ssgp2....is that a purple shirt with a pink sweater?? unsure.gif blink.gif

I sold a few of these when I carried USO products. It's a nice rugged optic, but in my opinion it's a little obese at 1.6+ pounds (depending on options). On the other hand, if you have the money and it's what you want, go for it.

Hey Chris,
Thanks for the heads up, and it's always great to have an industry member come on board to try and answer questions. Unfortunately, the original poster is no longer on the site, and GMT hasn't been around in over a month...
