I'll be using a .222 Rem, range will be 200 and 300 yards. Time limit is 10 minutes for 5 eggs at each range. My Tasco isn't cutting it anymore. I obviously don't need a tactical scope, what would you use? Those damn eggs are pretty small at 300 smile.gif

IOR 2.5-10? or 4.5-14? Either of those I think would work well for ya bud. Either those or I loved the image though Flea's straight 16x if you can lay your hands on one.

The weaver "T" series scopes are a great value. A 15 or 24 power would work nicely. My T-36 has out tracked every Leupold I have ever owned. Get ahold of Scott and it will be to you before you hang up the phone.

The Weaver V-16 is an outstanding scope for $300. It's a great varmint scope with lots of moa elevation.

I Have an IOR 2.5-10 but I'm leaving that on the boomer. It's sighted in so I'm leaving it! I don't want to spend that kind of money on this one, $200-400 range. I'll check out the Weavers for sure.

Make sure you check the size of the crosshair, at 300 yards the 16x may cover the egg. I know my 10x mk4 would and I believe my 4.5-14 mk4 with tmr would as well if it were not for the open center in the crosshair.
