How many rounds can I expect the barrel will last? 2500 rounds?

If it is a quality barrel, and well taken care of, you can get 2500 rnds.
A Walther LW-50 SS barrel will get you closer to 4500 - 5500 rounds with a 300 win.

Hi Cardinal;

I've used a .300WM SWS for a few years now, barrel life will vary. If the barrel is a stainless steel it with "wear" faster in a cold climate such as Norway
, a chrome moly being a better choice. But in general expect 3000-5000 rounds before a barrel set back and recrown is needed. Even then try the recrown first it may correct any problems, throat errosion is has to be heavy before a barrel set back is needed.
