Full Version: Bi Pods to use?

I am looking for the best bi pod for a "sniper" rifle.
I am going to take a Long range tactical rifle course and think I would
benefit from a bi pod for prone shooting. The bi pod will be attached to a
Choate Machine and Tool "Varmint" stock (link provided below) http://www.riflestock.com/supplement2.cfm?title_bar=The%20Ultimate%20Varmint
%20Stock

It seems you definitely want a bipod that will operate on uneven surfaces
and I would think you would like for it to tilt and pan. However, I have
read that some of the tilt and pan pods will "flop" over when you let go of
the rifle.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Respectfully,

There is now a magic fix for those floppy Harris bipods. KMW makes a simple, yet highly effective, bipod locking system for those swivel bipods. The kits coast around $20 and is well worth it. It will take you less than 5 minutes installing the kit and it doesn't take any special tools or machine working abilities.

KMW has several such handy ideas and kits. Last we heard they are going to open a store right here in our Sniper Mall http://www.snipersparadise.com/sniperstore/SPstore.htm Hopefully they get the details worked out in the next week or so and they get things up and running.
It is simply amazing all the little things KMW makes. You know the ones that you say "gee I just had a great idea. What if I were to make this widget to make my rifle better?" Well they have probably already done it or are in the process of doing it.

Email Terry Cross at KMW308@aol.com and tell him Sniper's Paradise sent you. Tell him you are asking about the bipod lock.
