http://www.larrywillis.com/7mmremmag.htmlThe article claims it significantly increases the life of the brass. Anyone know for sure?

Cant say for sure. Looks like the die companys could mill a small step in the die to do the same thing.

Where is that patent application?
No sir. I've been shooting mags for 35 years and never owned one. If you have a big chamber and fine your using excessive force to size your brass. Just get a RCBS small base die. $26 done deal.

No excessive force sizing the brass at all. I use Redding sizer and seating dies and a Lee crimp die. The Lee crimp dies are about $9 and I like the way they work. I use them on a lot of calibers and I can always turn it down until the crimp is perfect.
SR,
Keep doing what your doing my friend. I spoke with this guy that makes these about a year ago. He can't find anyone to make them. As far as I know they have been on back order for over a year now.
I had a friend that had to have one, he asked me to call the guys. Sence then my friend did what I suggested and got the small base die. Now he's good to go.
He runs so pretty stout loads in his win. mag, so it blows the web area out more than normal. Now after about five reloads he runs his cases through the small base die and the problem is gone. I think I found in setting up his die for him is, it really straightened the brass up.
