    Wounded Warrior Project

I would like to welcome Wounded Warrior Project to Sniper's Paradise!

The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower wounded warriors.

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) was founded on the principle that veterans are our nation's greatest citizens. The WWP seeks to assist those men and women of our armed forces who have been severely injured during the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations around the world.

Wounded Warrior Project began when several individuals took small, inspired actions to help others in need. One night while watching the evening news, veterans and brothers were moved by stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq. They realized that something needed to be done for these brave individuals.

Please take the time to visit WWP and see what you can do to lend a hand. Our veterans need to know that they are not forgotten and that we as Americans are grateful for the sacrifices that they have made for us...
Wounded Warrior Project is a military/veterans charity organization empowering injured veterans and their families. Find out how you can support a warrior today.

  • Help Eddy Ryan

    Help Eddy Ryan

I'd like to welcome the cause of Help Eddie Ryan to Sniper's Paradise.

Eddie had wanted to be a Marine since he'd been 12. His dad was a Marine. In his senior year at Ellenville High School, Eddie knew he was destined to join the few, the proud, as the Marines advertise themselves. He had gotten more intense after the terrorists attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. "He had tunnel vision," Angela said. "He lived on working out and staying in shape." Eddie said he could bench-press 225 pounds.

In June 2002, he graduated high school and immediately enlisted for a four-year hitch. One month later, he hit boot camp. In September that year, he left for Iraq, manning a machine gun. He fought in Nasariya and Ramadi, 70 miles northwest of Bagdhad.

On April 13, Eddie was shot twice in his head, once in his lower jaw and once above his eye. Eddie was severely wounded and suffered a brain injury. Now, because prayer is going strong for our American hero, Eddie is recovering and doing well.

    American Snipers

I would like to extend a heartfelt welcome to AmericanSnipers.org. We've given them a little space here on SP to try to help them do what they do: provide much needed support to our Snipers serving overseas. For those of you that are not familiar with AmericanSnipers.org (formerly adoptasniper.com), please take a moment to visit their site and learn a bit about them.

They need support now more than ever. The public's "interest" in the War On Terror has waned, gas prices are hitting folks hard, and donations to AmericanSnipers are way down. Our Snipers overseas not only need our logistical support for much needed gear, equipment and "creature comforts", but they also need to know that they aren't forgotten. They need to know that there are a lot of us back stateside that appreciate the outstanding job they are doing, and know that by them being overseas in harm's way, they are keeping us safe and warm here in the rear with the gear.

Please take a moment to visit AmericanSnipers and give them a hand....
