  • NEW WIND CLASS

    Hey Folks,

On June 16th and 17th Ed Shell and myself will hold a two day wind class. The first day will be a lot of classroom work and followed by some sighting in and shooting at 600 to 800 yds. We need you to show up with a .308 win ONLY! It's impossible for us to print out range cards for all the major calibers being used today. We figured it's easy to do the .308 because most everyone has one.

We will work with you to teach you how to ready natural wind indicators and do the simple formula for wind reading. Then apply it to real time shooting. A friend of mine and I put together a wind reading tool a couple of years ago. We will have those there for you to see and use. Bring about 200 rounds of ammo, 175 grain match will naturally work best. Bring shooting mats, rain gear, logbooks, pen and paper. We will provide lots of paper work with the natural wind indicators and rosette.

We are back at the old farm the big one we used here for years. Come on out and let us help you with wind reading. Lake Anna Lodge is close to the range http://www.thelakeannalodge.com/. There is a motel chain at Zions Crossroads. http://bestwesternvirginia.com/zion-crossroads-hotels

The class will run $200 per day.
You can call Ed Shell at 410-353-8441 or Vern Harrison at 540-967-7299

    Take care, Vern

I'm stuck escorting a couple of German techs for all of June.

Wish I could join you though. These really shouldn't be missed.

I wish I could do this, but will have to pass because of prior commitments that weekend. I would be interested if offered again at another date.
