  • Dan Wesson .357 CT6, 6 shot, vent rib barrel

I'm looking to trade with a person for a fair swap. Can anyone tell me the value and l a little history?

Dan Wesson revolvers are known for their excellent quality and the high strength of the design. I've always liked 'em.

Shortly before World War I, the German Kaiser was the guest of the Swiss government to observe military maneuvers. The Kaiser asked a Swiss militiaman: "You are 500,000 and you shoot well, but if we attack with 1,000,000 men what will you do?" The soldier replied: "We will shoot twice and go home."

Here's a few picks the gent sent. As far as I can tell, it was manufactured in Monsoon. Would this be a fair trade for Benelli Nova?

Is it a fixed barrel, or can the barrel be user-removed?

If you're in the market for a 6" .357 Magnum, then I would think that it would be a fair trade for a Benelli Nova.

Near as I can figure without handling the revolver is that it's worth around $400 or so. If it had extra barrels, of course, the price would shoot up. I remember having one in stock in a gun store I worked at that was in stainless steel. Came in a hard case with a set of 2", 4", 6", and 8" barrels, plus the wrenches and gauges to swap 'em out.

Other half to this question, is there such a thing as a CT6?? Several forums state that this is actually CTG which is cartridge. I'm or inclined to think that this is a model 15-2 target.

I can't find a reference to it in my Blue Book, but I did find some references when I googled it. I'm with you, if I go by Blue Book, it sounds like a model 15, made from 1971-1975. I'm nowhere near being a DW expert, though.

                  And what't the value?

My Blue Book is out of date.

If its marked ".357 CTG" on the barrel, then I bet that's what it is, not CT6.
