  • Emerson, pour the whiskey.

So I finally did it and picked an Emerson that was in stock and met what I wanted! The look and really the feel of this blade was so much more then I ever expected. Ernest Emerson's quote of a dagger with a serious case of "Bad Intent". Could not be more accurate. As soon as you take it out of the package and hold it in your hands, you know you aren't holding just a knife, but a finely crafted weapon with bottled fury inside.

First lets start with weight and grip. The handles on this blade which are made from an epoxy / glass laminate have a true positive grip texture to them. In fact the texture pined against the clip in your pocket, you know this blade is going nowhere without you wanting it to. Using the blade a bit cutting up some boxes in the yard on this fine hot day, sweaty hands be damned the grip is still very positive and it doesn't get greezy like that plastic stuff does.

Second, I want to comment on the action of the knife! SMOOTH... Silky smooth... and SILENTLY DEADLY!
The blade opens into position and the Titanium locking mechanism on it drifts into place with barely as much as a whisper, much less a loud click. In fact I have never had a lock on any knife this quiet before. Ever. If this is the norm for these knives I don't think I can bring myself to choose anything else in the future.

Since I just got it a few hours back I will post a more in depth review and thoughts after I have carried it for a few months. For now, how about some porn?

It's knowing that when I get up in the morning and my feet hit the floor, the Devil says, "Shit! He's awake!"

Shortly before World War I, the German Kaiser was the guest of the Swiss government to observe military maneuvers. The Kaiser asked a Swiss militiaman: "You are 500,000 and you shoot well, but if we attack with 1,000,000 men what will you do?" The soldier replied: "We will shoot twice and go home."
