Not sacrilegious at all! I shoot IPSC Single Stack myself. Of course, shooting SS my rig is different than yours.

I've always wanted an AMT Javelina; that was the one with the really long slide chambered in .30 Carbine.

Boss, I believe the Javelina was their 10mm model. The .30 carbine was an AMTIII and had a 6 1/2" barrel..when it comes to wierd shiit I owned all of em at one point. Just sayin'

Nice looking Baer and that Remmy looks good very interested in a range report....

You're right, Sam, I had to look it up. The .30 Carbine version is the AMT Automag III.

Those 1911's with a long slide have always looked bit odd to my eye - But for some reason I like it.

About 30 years ago I looked at a Colt 1911 in .38 Super and back then i didn't have the kind of money to buy it. I have been looking at every pawn shop I passed to see if they had my Illusive .38 Super. SA stopped making them about the time I really had to have one. Still can't justify the new Wilson Combat Custom built Officers Model at close to $4000.

I had all but given up on the .38 Super. I took a friend AR shopping and while he was doing his deal I looked at the pistols and worked up to the 1911's...I had looked before at this shop but never really close...there it was, my 1911 in .38 Super and it was even a Colt.
