  • Cerakote and camo by Dobbs Defense in Dallas GA

Had a student's rifle Cerakoted by Dobbs Defense recently, along with an urban-themed GAP camo pattern on the stock skins of the AICS 1.5.

The Cerakote is a dark gray.....not sure what they called it exactly. The camo is black/dark gray/light gray.

The rifle was built by the now defunct HD Rifles out of Del Rio, TX. Started as a 22" Shilen barrel on a trued Rem700 action in .308. Bedded into an AICS 1.5 with an oversized lug.

I cut and crowned the barrel to 18.5" and replaced the trigger with a Timney straight model.

It's knowing that when I get up in the morning and my feet hit the floor, the Devil says, "Shit! He's awake!"

Shortly before World War I, the German Kaiser was the guest of the Swiss government to observe military maneuvers. The Kaiser asked a Swiss militiaman: "You are 500,000 and you shoot well, but if we attack with 1,000,000 men what will you do?" The soldier replied: "We will shoot twice and go home."
