  • KOREA UPDATE 4 DECEMBER 2015 0500 KST FRIDAY:NEW NUKE TUNNEL,VALKYRIE WARM UP

    UPDATE 12 AUGUST 2015, 0945 KST:

    It is app 80F. and 88% humidity in Paju today.. And we are hot in defensive posture, the western part of the DMZ especially in Paju is as tense as it can get. Folks this AO is pretty much on war footing since Monday. Open source has let out part of the casualty count since last week, 8 wounded, and two SSG's having their legs blown off in North Korean mine attacks North Korean troops have infiltrated the southern DMZ and laid wooden antipersonnel mines a very clear and dangerous violation of the truce agreement. ALL troops in and along the DMZ are under orders to respond instantly to North Korean actions and presence in the southern DMZ Patrols and ambush operation are now fully armed with no safety protocols in effect, free fire on sight. The ROKA is totally ready and wanting to engage the North Koreans after their cowardly attacks over the past few days. Open full scale warfare is like the old Stones song Gimme Shelter is just "a shot away". My teams are fully active and operating in ambush and counter infiltration operations without constraints...tomahawks in the night rule! ALL troops here want revenge and it is happening, the Ghost Walkers are roaming north of the wire again. Don't go out into the darkness Kimie you little, fat f*ck, nobody is stopping the gang now f*cktard

    here is some of the news that has been allowed for release. No build ups just read it brothers/

    MORE NEWS AS ALLOWED AND APPROPRIATE;

    This is very serious, as bad as the attack on the Blue House in Seoul by North Korean SF in 1968, with no Johnson to talk the ROK out of response. There's going to be a lot of crying in the North, and no pity here.

    Take care...Jim & Soo-jin, expanding Freedom's Frontier one ambush at a time.

            UPDATE 19 AUGUST 2015, 0655 KST WEDS:

            and cloudy this morning in Paju, we crawled back into our wire before sun up this morning. literally crawled in, the only safe way these days. The "bad old DMZ" is back. most of us older soldiers know this on best, loud speakers, shots fired and sharp small unit clashes in the dark. The KPA blowing whistles and bugles through the night and setting off fireworks just to keep you on edge and awake if you are lucky enough to be "off duty". ROE is very simple now, if you see them shoot them, no warning shots, center mass. Mines and command detonated devices are very common now so patrols never use the same routes, watch the "nice positions" for ambushes they will be mined. Some news is leaking out now about other mine attacks and some of the small unit actions in the DMZ and close on each side of the wire. It is getting "bad" but we now have ARTILLERY SUPPORT if needed along with tanks unit mortar components on stand by, so far no aircraft but that may end soon., tension just ratchets up one click at a time as does the force evolved. It feels good to have GPS and laser guided arty just over the hill. On the other side we have seen KPA tanks and armour roaming the wire. just on their side of the "Z", we already know they have a very heavy concentration of arty all along the DMZ. The clock here reads .33 of a second to midnight, definitely only one shot away. We are in very good company, the ROKA troops want to roll and are ready, USFK are not on the line but near. In Seoul al is quiet and just a bit edgy, once out of the DMZ/JSA area most have no idea what is actually happening other than some noise and flashes in the dark. Paju has the heaviest action, do not know why..well maybe we do lol. they just don't like us...

            The NKPA has resumed loudspeaker propaganda too, now if we could only understand what the heck they are saying, lol!...http://english.chosun.com/site/data/...081800753.html

                Pass the word to our Brothers and Sisters in arms that we're praying for all's safety. Some understand what you're doing, all of them appreciate it. The other, well, they'll never get it and if they do they won't acknowledge it. There are euphorians everywhere.

                Given you're crawling back in, I'll forgive the omission of a hat. Be a damn shame to get shot in the ass because you're dragging a big furry target indicator back with you.

                Be safe.

                  UPDATE 20 AUGUST 2015, 0235 KST THURSDAY;

                  It is 75F. with app. 90% humidity this morning in Paju. We have just gott4en back in and Soo-jin is out with a couple others securing some food and coffee for the gang. Through the clouds we could see a small sliver of a moon at times, fog kept visibility to a minimum, a good night for a patrol and ambush. We were successful and all got back with nothing but scratches and bug bites So a short update follows while waiting for our bedtime snack.

                  North Korea is continuing to move heavy artillery opposite Paju, why is not clear, weather to attack our loud speakers or a general attack on Paju itself. This artillery could also follow through on the North's threat to turn Seoul into a sea of fire. With the previous KPA artillery build up this is a bit of overkill, it could also be for support of an assault across the DMZ and short penetration into the south as far as Seoul itself...http://www.arirang.co.kr/News/News_View.asp?nseq=182451

                  Arirang analysis of the rising tensions states we may have reached the point of no return. We tend to agree, rom all we have seen in our treks through the "Z"...http://www.arirang.co.kr/News/News_View.asp?nseq=182472

                  An interesting read on Kim Jong-un. Why there may be no turning back now, well, we all feel it's time to get it on and end this long, long war...http://freekorea.us/2015/08/13/kim-j...ical-evidence/

                  We hope all this will soon be resolved, all resolutions must include the end of Kim Jong-un's rule and the end of the Kim families dictatorship along with Korea being reunified as one..

                  Vince I will tell the gang of your thoughts, brother. They are most appreciated. The young Kim Jong-un does not wear a nice hat, so will a scalp be a thoughtful replacement? Plus it is pocket sized! John we are being as provocative as we can, time to get it on, no more games here, no more silly politicians trying to make deals, time to move and end this. I, personally have lost to many brothers and sisters in this long war, and virtually none of them received anything for their sacrifice.

                  Well Soo-jin is back with the goodies, so I'm outta here for now, more news when able.

                    UPDATE 20 AUGUST 2015, 1310 KST THURSDAY:

                    &5F. and raining in Paju right now with matching humidity. We are off until tonight we got some sleep since our last post but not much. So we have been getting our fall and winter gear out for cleaning and checks, getting ready for the lead-out bags. LOL, Soo-jin is the only person I know that looks cute in the ROKA "Elmer Fudd" winter cap! We may have to do an article on it and the ROKA "DMZ Parka" winter parka, much better than the old "fish tail parka". Soo-jin made some bulgogi and dumpling soup for lunch, tasted very good after eating mess hall stuff and ROKA MREs, yep they have kimchi and chapchae in them. We have to head in this evening at 1830 KST and are planning to hit the pizza place for pizza and wings before crossing the bridge, it is strange going to shops and out to eat with rifles on sling, oh well, when in Israel was the same...but when your wife is carrying a rifle it just isn't the same LOL! At least if yoy drop some pizza on your trousers the camou makes it look less bad!

                    A short update of news, not known when we can post again.

                            UPDATE 21 AUGUST 2015 0115 KST FRIDAY:

                            It is currently around 70F. and cloudy here in Paju. I am surprised that we made the news in the States. North Korea fired artillery into the DMZ area AT a ROK Army unit, Our artillery support returned fire. This is a major escalation, artillery has NOT been used since the 1966-1969 "DMZ War" During this action there were heavy exchanges of small arms fire and heavy infantry weapons. The ROKA and other units on the frontline and inside the DMZ are on full wartime footing.

                            We did not get our pizza, this all started around 1550 KST ( did not look at watch, to busy) with incoming artillery in Paju not to long after my last post. Soo-jin broke a land speed record crossing the bridge to the frontline, while I loaded more magazines. we had our folks online and ready to go while the air still smelled of fresh HE detonations .and got some kicks in.. Right now 0105 KST there is sporadic small arms fire and we are eating some of those good Korean MREs and brewing tea. I got Kimchi, beef noodles, rice and hot peppers, yummy! Soo-jin snagged us some oranges from another bunker lol! Our first break since the wild ride across the bridge...

                            The following is all that is in open news right now. These are just URGENT headlines, news flashes:

                            Yes Paju was the target of the artillery fire, a bit more than one round was fired, a lot more...http://english.yonhapnews.co.kr/nati...09600315F.html

                            The Paju area is ordered to evacuate all civilians...http://english.yonhapnews.co.kr/nati...11200315F.html

                            ROKA artillery returned fire, very heavy out going, no games are being played...http://english.yonhapnews.co.kr/nati...10900315F.html

                            The North has threatened this action and within the DMZ and along the frontlines open combat is happening as I type...http://english.yonhapnews.co.kr/nati...12000315F.html

                            This could be the start, it will be very hard for the North to back down now, the clock reads midnight folks, how large this grows we do not know. We can say this is a major event in the long Korean War. We are in very good company, our brothers and sisters are performing as professionals, no matter what happens we are proud of them. Units have fixed bayonets and are ready for what ever comes our way. Paju is again at war.

                            Take care...Jim & Soo-jin, Paju, ROK on the frontline of Freedom's Frontier
