  • Gun Powder - gone bad ????

How can you tell for sure if gun powder goes bad,

Some told me that it will smell, ,, (o.k. I know what your thinking)
Think befor you shoot, but don't take all day.

The trick is to shoot it before it goes bad. Most rounds, if not kept hermetically sealed, will go bad in five - twenty years. Bad powder can cause misfires, hangfires(primers) and other maladies that don't help any. That's all I can tell you about that. How long have you had the bullets?

It'll have a sour smell, kind of like milk gone bad, and in some cases will take on a yellowish tint.
I don't have much experience with it, but I'm a great fan of money. brian
